When you buy a turbocharger, many factors influence your decision. What often takes a back seat, however, is how long it will continue to perform flawlessly. Many drivers ignore new noises coming from their car and at the same time pass up the opportunity for calibration. If you do nothing, however, sooner or later your car will punish you with damage and engine failure.

As professionals in turbocharger calibration, we know from experience: flawless calibration of a turbocharger is only possible with a flow bench, which allows the MinFlow of the basic setting to be read out and adjusted. All other adjustment methods cause deviations of up to 20% and more. Even with reused original parts, deviations of this magnitude cannot be ruled out and must be readjusted.
Why is calibration so important? Not every car can cope with a deviation. It often causes faults that make driving impossible, because the vehicle goes into a kind of "limp mode".
Clearing the fault memory only helps in the short term. As soon as the vehicle registers that the values are not correct, the defect becomes noticeable again and the car no longer drives properly. This is a case for turbocharger calibration/adjustment.
The best adjustment, skilfully and without pressure
Did you buy your turbocharger from another supplier and the car does not "pull" properly? Does the boost kick in too early or too late? Is the exhaust gas turbocharger causing a fault in the engine control unit (boost pressure too high or too low)? Then it may be high time for a new calibration of your turbocharger.
